Our new apartment hotel and restaurant is located by the Bay of Bothnia, in Simo, which is the southernmost county of Lapland. We offer the unique combination of natural surroundings and traditions with fully equipped high quality accomodation facilities. The apartment hotel accomodation consists of 10 high class cabins. The cabins are located by the sea and every cabin has a marvelous direct sea view. The cabins present old fishing tradition. The salmon fishing has been practised in Simo since 17th century and our new cabins are designed to look like traditional storehouse of fishermen. The design was made together with National board of antiquities and historical monuments. The Cabins are built next to a historical building- the old vicarage. The Vicarage is more than 100 years old. The vicarage was built for the first vicar of Simo, Mr. J.A. Keckmann. The vicarage was finalised in 1902. Nowadays the vicarage serves as a´la carte restaurant and the building has been restored to it´s 19th century style. The reception of apartment hotel is located in the old vicarage. Simo is famous for beautiful Simojoki river, one of few free flowing rivers. Simojoki river has naturally breeding salmon population and has become one of the most popular destination for Finnish sport fishing enthusiasts. Simo area offers many kinds of nature experiences. Besides the beautiful Simojoki river, Simo is also famous for vast wildernes, swampland and untouched countryside.
